Support Worker 30 hours per week, permanent position. £14.00 per hour. (day) £13.25 per hour (waking night rate 10 hours)
Gentleman in his 30s has a personal health budget and needs an additional support worker to access social activities and help with everyday needs. Based in Kirk Ella in his own home, he needs round the clock support. He has severe learning disabilities, autism, and OCD. He enjoys swimming, lots of outdoor activities, ice skating and climbing, bouncing and swings and picking up litter. He likes Disney films and you tube clips. He needs help with personal care, taking medications, making meals, getting a bath, and getting dressed. He has a car and it would be brilliant if you are a driver, (it’s an automatic) but it’s not essential.
He communicates with pictures and symbols and likes his days to be structured so that everything is ‘just right’. When out and about he has 2 support workers with him, so you will be friendly and happy to work as part of a team.
Training is from recognised providers and senior staff and colleagues will help you learn and develop your skills and knowledge as well as provide on the job training. 5.6 weeks annual holiday pay, a pension and statutory sick pay.
